Danu - Mother Goddess
Celtic Paidirean - Green Garnet, Olive Jade, White Jade, Clear Quartz
Garnet provides a protective influence and a calming stable vitality during use. Garnet is useful to have in a crisis, particularly in situations where there seems to be no way out or where life has fragmented. It fortifies, activates, and strengthens the survival instinct, bringing courage and hope into those situations.
Jade is a stone of purity or purification. Because jade is regarded as a stone that protects and supports loving heart energy, jade also symbolizes gentleness and nourishment.
For those whose spirit needs illumination, clear quartz brings clarity to shadows within the mind. A universal healer, it links to all chakras to provide balance and harmony.
Danu, also spelled Anu, or Dana, in Celtic religion, the earth-mother goddess or female principle, who was honored under various names from eastern Europe to Ireland. A goddess of fertility, of wisdom, and of wind, her name was borne by the legendary Tuatha Dé Danann (“People of the Goddess Danu”), the Irish company of gods, who may be considered either as distinct individuals or as extensions of the goddess and who survive in Irish lore as the fairy folk, skilled in magic.
Meditation necklaces, or Paidirean (PAH-jur-in) are an ancient Celtic form of meditation & prayer necklace. They are 150 beads in three sections; this division of three is common in Celtic spirituality.
I make all my meditation necklaces by hand, drawing on spirit for inspiration and guidance. They are made with intention, spiritual direction, and mindfulness. The combinations of stones are dictated by the feel of the stones themselves as I assemble the piece. Use it in good health!
