Ægishjálmr - Helm of Awe

Ægishjálmr - Helm of Awe
Celtic Paidirean - Black Tourmaline, Rainbow Obsidian, Labradorite, Sterling Silver
The Helm of Awe (Old Norse Ægishjálmr, pronounced “EYE-gis-hiowlm-er”) is one of the most mysterious and powerful symbols in Norse mythology. Eight arms that look like spiked tridents radiate out from a central point, as if defending that central point by going on the offensive against any and all hostile forces that surround it. Wear it for empowerment and personal protection.
Black Tourmaline
Black Tourmaline is a hugely powerful stone for those who want to wear a constant cloak of protection. Potent, inky black, and with strong grounding forces, this jet colored stone is known for being a swallower of negative energies. It effectively helps the wearer be absolved of dark feelings, turning these anxious vibrations into a positive spin that nurtures the soul.
Obsidian
A powerful protection stone, Obsidian helps identify your dark side so that its healing properties can clear it away from your psyche. Obsidian shines a light on negativity and clears it away, helping us to choose the path leading towards light and love.
Labradorite
Labradorite is a useful companion through change, imparting strength and perseverance. It raises consciousness and grounds spiritual energies. Excellent for strengthening intuition.
Paidireans are long enough to loop when wearing. This piece is one of a kind.
Meditation necklaces, or Paidirean (PAH-jur-in) are an ancient Celtic form of meditation & prayer necklace. They are 150 beads in three sections; this division of three is common in Celtic spirituality.
I make all my meditation necklaces by hand, drawing on spirit for inspiration and guidance. They are made with intention, spiritual direction, and mindfulness. The combinations of stones are dictated by the feel of the stones themselves as I assemble the piece. Use it in good health!
